About Roya

Roya graduated Cum Laude from Barnard College of Columbia University with a degree in psychology. After one year of clinical research, she completed a post baccalaureate pre-medical program at the University of Virginia, where she completed all her premedical coursework in under 11 months prior to beginning medical school at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. As a medical student, Roya enjoyed teaching students both as a senior tutor and teaching assistant. During her time at Mount Sinai, she received honors in all 7 of her clinical clerkships (Medicine, Family Medicine, Surgery, ObGyn, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, and Neurology) with shelf examination scores ranging from the 93rd-99th percentiles. Recently, Roya matched into the prestigious transitional year residency program at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and Dermatology Residency at Einstein-Montefiore Medical Center, which is ranked among the top 25 training programs in Dermatology. Roya is a prolific researcher and published author who graduated from medical school with a distinction in research; her work can be found here.
