It’s the moments when I am able to take students through from the foundations of the disease process to the current treatment recommendation that are most rewarding.
In 2003, Sanjeet graduated from Rice University with his AB in Health Sciences. Immediately following his undergrad, Sanjeet began working toward his MD at Baylor College of Medicine. In 2008 Sanjeet completed his MD and began working toward his PhD in Stem Cell Biology, Epigenetics and Gene Regulation at UCLA. While completing his PhD, Sanjeet was recognized with the Outstanding Student Teaching Award in General Surgery for his work in teaching and tutoring. Sanjeet began general surgery residency in 2014, and by 2016, became Chief Resident for the 2016-2017 academic year. Sanjeet is currently completing a Fellowship in Cardiothoracic Surgery at USC-LA County Medical Center, one of the highest volume CT Surgery Programs in the world.
