Ophthalmology Resident
Hyun Jun Kim completed his medical training at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in 2021, achieving honors in all his clinical rotations and being elected to both GHHS and AOA. Currently, Jun is an ophthalmology resident at the University of Cincinnati.
When I was younger, I was interested in becoming a professional violinist and had the privilege of working closely with amazing teachers. One lesson that I learned is that music was so much more than playing the right notes at the right time; they cultivated my mindset to also play with purpose. While medicine is a very different from music, I found myself hearing those same lessons in my head while preparing for my exams and for my clinical rotations. Despite all the pressures, I know that learning medicine can be an exercise in fostering curiosity, generosity, and passion. I am excited to join Elite Medical Prep and hopefully help fellow students in the same way that my teachers helped me.
