Hi! I'm Cassandra Collins, MD Candidate.

Cassandra ‘Cassie’ Collins, a Summa Cum Laude graduate in Cognitive and Brain Science from Tufts University, is deeply passionate about leveraging her understanding of the brain to enhance both student learning and wellness. Her love for seeing students thrive has led her to a variety of teaching roles, including working with neurodiverse students at Lindamood-Bell Learning Processes and teaching ACT/SAT prep classes at Kaplan. After her undergraduate studies, Cassie delved into research at a neurotech start-up in Silicon Valley, focusing on enhancing cognitive performance and alleviating symptoms of clinical disorders through electrical stimulation. Her contributions during this time led to co-authoring a textbook and an upcoming publication in Frontiers in Neuroscience. However, immersed in the health-centric culture of San Francisco, Cassie discovered that she could have a deeper impact on wellness by championing healthier lifestyle choices, like proper nutrition, beyond the scope of brain stimulation alone.This revelation propelled her to Brazil, where she founded a start-up to improve access to healthy food during the pandemic and collaborated with a neurosurgeon on research in the Amazon Forest. Driven by her desire to become a leader in health education, Cassie returned to the U.S. to pursue a career in medicine. She was awarded a full scholarship to attend Kaiser Permanente’s Medical School in Los Angeles, where she is currently an MD candidate
