Kala Frye Bourque, MD is a Pediatric Emergency Medicine Fellow and Chief Fellow at Children’s National Hospital in Washington, DC. She also serves as a Research Instructor at George Washington University, where she is actively involved in medical education and curriculum development.
Dr. Frye Bourque completed her pediatric residency at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and earned her medical degree from Central Michigan University. Throughout her training, she has held numerous leadership roles focused on teaching, mentorship, and educational program design. She regularly lectures medical students, residents, and fellows, and has led simulation-based training and procedural skills workshops.
