Mark attended Colby College in Waterville Maine before spending a year in AmeriCorps working at a federally qualified health center where he found his passion for medicine. After AmeriCorps Mark obtained his Master’s degree from Georgetown University and his MD from Tufts University school of medicine. During his time at tufts he found his passion for teaching and tutored multiple courses for the medical school. His teaching skills were recognized in residency when he was awarded the medical student teacher award. Mark is a PGY3 surgical resident currently doing large animal research in a cardiothoracic surgery lab and is a published author with journal articles ranging from trauma surgery to cardiothoracic surgery.
