Prior to attending medical school, Matthew graduated with a degree in statistics and worked as a statistical programmer in health care data analytics supporting population-level genetics and COVID-19 research studies. He pursued several teaching opportunities and contributed to multiple orthopedic and neurology-related imaging research studies during his time as a medical student. He is currently a 4th-year medical student at the University of Iowa and is looking forward to diagnostic radiology residency. In the future, he hopes to serve in an operational role managing incorporation of enterprise-wide artificial intelligence applications into clinical radiology.
