Hi! I'm Michael Aiduk, MD-PhD Candidate.
After obtaining a bachelor’s degree with distinction in Biochemistry, Michael began the MD-PhD program at Duke University School of Medicine. He is currently in the 6th year of the program, having completed the preclinical and core clerkship years of medical school, and is now in the PhD phase of training.
Teaching is my passion, on par with clinical medicine and basic science. I hope to be a professor at an academic medical center someday. It’s an honor to be a member of EMP and have the opportunity to work together with students in an intellectual and academic content area I love so much.

Michael Aiduk graduated Summa Cum Laude from Syracuse University in 2018. During his time at Syracuse, he was an Organic Chemistry II Teaching Assistant, the first undergraduate ever to hold this position. He was also a General Chemistry I and General Biology I & II Peer Leader where he taught and facilitated weekly problem-solving sessions. After obtaining a bachelor’s degree with distinction in Biochemistry, Michael began the MD-PhD program at Duke University School of Medicine. He is currently in the 6th year of the program, having completed the preclinical and core clerkship years of medical school and is now in the PhD phase of training. At Duke School of Medicine, Michael continues to pursue his passion of medical education. He co-leads review sessions for 1st year MD students covering physiology and anatomy, and works together individually with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year MD students preparing for basic science exams, NBME shelves, and the USMLE Step 1 and Step 2.
