Hi! I'm Sage Copling, MD Candidate.
- I try to challenge students to think critically and understand the “why” behind the material rather than simply memorize facts, often integrating multiple loosely related topics to better understand small details that may change the interpretation of a question.
- I create a supportive environment in which students can work through difficult concepts and integrate complicated topics without feeling judged. My goal is to help them build both knowledge and confidence, while maintaining a consistent schedule to ensure that progress is not lost between sessions.
- I believe the best learning happens when students are pushed just beyond their comfort zone while still knowing they have someone in their corner. I ask questions that encourage them to reason through problems independently, but I’m always there to provide guidance, reassurance, and a different perspective when they get stuck.
I tutor because I genuinely enjoy helping students reach those moments when something finally clicks. Improving students’ confidence in the material and seeing progression in their domain of knowledge and scores over time is an incredibly rewarding feeling.
