Before graduating Summa Cum Laude as a Goldwater Scholar from the University of Cincinnati in 2019, Scottie received the Presidential Leadership Medal of Excellence for his contributions to teaching and mentorship at the undergraduate level. Scottie is currently a fourth-year medical student and Dean’s Scholar at the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine pursuing residency training in orthopaedic surgery. In addition to serving as an academic coach for pre-clinical courses, NBME shelf exams, and USMLE Step 1 and Step 2 CK at his medical school, he was elected to both Alpha Omega Alpha and Gold Humanism Honor Society.
