I love breaking down complex physiology and pathophysiology into clear, approachable concepts—and there’s nothing more rewarding than seeing that moment when it all clicks for a student. Having been through the challenges of this path myself, I genuinely enjoy being part of that journey and am excited to support students as they work toward their goals.

Madeline Gauthier graduated from the University of Minnesota in 2015 with a BA in Physiology before enrolling at Loyola University Chicago – Stritch School of Medicine in 2018. Initially planning to pursue a career in Emergency Medicine, she developed a growing interest in the intersection of basic science and clinical care during her preclinical years. After completing her second year of medical school, she took a leave of absence to earn a PhD in Physiological Sciences at the University of Arizona, where she engaged in translational research and found a strong academic home. In January 2024, she completed her doctorate and transferred to the University of Arizona College of Medicine – Tucson. There, she is a fourth-year medical student in the Class of 2026, and is pursuing a career in Emergency Medicine.
